Good Afternoon Lead Parents, Out of an abundance of caution, we have made the decision for tomorrow to be a fully virtual learning day due to severe weather conditions.

A big shout out to our K-2 team! Once again, Lead Academy has been recognized as a national leader in teaching reading skills to our students. Today, our teachers are serving as a Site Host to over 100 teachers and leaders across the country sharing our practice and expertise.

Good Evening Lead Families, Here are a few announcements for the coming week. -All grades will remain on their current attendance plans. -Progress Reports will be mailed to all families on Thursday, March 4th -Reminder about uniforms. All students should be in Lead shirts and khaki, blue, or black bottoms (pants, skirts, shorts, etc). Fridays, students can wear jeans. Only Lead Academy jackets may be worn in the building. Heavier jackets can be worn outside -GEARS Youth Services operates the after school program at Lead Academy. Hey Lead families, Here are a few updates for the coming week. -We are excited to have our 7th and 8th grade students join in-person instruction. Both grades will be on the A/B hybrid plan. -All other grades will remain on their current attendance plan. -We will be mailing progress reports to all families on March 4th. Here are a few updates for the coming week. -We are excited to have our 5th and 6th grade students join in-person instruction. 5th grade will be on the 5 day attendance plan and 6th grade will be on the A/B hybrid plan. -All other grades will remain on their current attendance plan. -Reminder, we have made a change to our policy concerning virtual and in-person request. If you have chosen to be virtual this year regardless of the attendance plan, and you are interested in in-person instruction, please fill out this form to be placed on a waiting list for a possible 1 to 1 switch. Hey Lead Academy, Here are some updates for the upcoming week. -We are excited to welcome back our 4th grade students to in-person instruction. -With the addition of 4th grade students, all other grades will remain on their current attendance plan. -There will be no school on Monday, February 15th. First graders have been working on their reading fluency by performing readers’ theater. Stay tuned for more!

Sharing some masterpieces from a few of our virtual students to bring some beauty to your day. These were all made with materials they had at home to create drawings, collages, prints, and sculptures.

Hello Lead Family, With the start of the 3rd nine weeks, all virtual and hybrid students will be rotating to a NEW RELATED ARTS class. This change will go into effect starting Monday, January 25th, and will potentially last for the entire semester. This will be the ONLY related arts teacher that will assign them work: K5 & 1st Grade: Mr. Keller (PE) and Mr. Moses (Music) 2nd, 3rd*, & 4th Grade: Mrs. Wright (Art) and Ms. Watson (PE) 5th - 8th Grade: Mr. Carpenter (Tech) and Miss L (Spanish) *If you are participating in the 3rd-grade play, you will still receive additional work specific to the role that you play from Mr. Moses. Kindergarten completed a day of service. They read books about Dr Martin Luther King Jr, did projects to help the school and discussed what service meant to each of them. Thanks for serving well kindergarten!
