- Physical Education Teacher
- Athletic Director
I grew up in Waterford, MI. The surrounding area is a northern suburb of Detroit (It’s a lot different than the actual city of Detroit). After graduating high school, I came down to Greenville and attended Bob Jones University. I received a Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies Education. While I was there, I was able to learn a lot about athletics through coaching classes and playing intercollegiate basketball for the school.
Another positive thing that came from my college education was meeting and eventually marrying my wife. After graduating in May 2014, my wife and I moved up to Schaumburg, IL (suburb of Chicago). I spent three years teaching Physical Education and a variety of History classes at Schaumburg Christian School. I was also able to coach basketball, soccer, and baseball while I was there. I also served as the Assistant Athletic Director. My time there gave me invaluable experience working with students in the area of athletics.
I’m very excited to continue working on improving the different athletic teams at Lead. My goal is for us to consistently provide competitive teams in all the sports that we decide to participate in. Athletics can be a very important aspect of a child’s education, and I look forward to helping with that by working at providing various athletic opportunities for the students at Lead.
In my spare time, I like playing basketball, exercising, watching movies, and hanging out with my wife and dog. Growing up in Detroit, I became a huge Detroit sports fan…..Yes, even the Lions...So, I spend some time following my teams up there as well.
