Speech Language Pathologist
I am so excited to be able to continue to serve the students of Lead Academy as their Speech-Language Pathologist (a.k.a. “Speech Therapist” or “Speech Teacher”- it’s all the same). I have worked with Lead for the past 6 years, and as the school has grown, so has my role.
Growing up, mostly, in Daytona Beach, FL, I received my undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Florida State University (Go Noles!). I then headed up to Eastern North Carolina and received my Masters in Speech-Language Pathology from East Carolina University (Go Pirates!). I lived and worked in Eastern North Carolina for 7 years, before moving to Greenville about 8 years ago.
I have worked with all age groups - babies to high schoolers, in many different settings - schools, homes, daycares, Head Starts, etc. I LOVE my job, and I see my role as helping ALL students at Lead, not just the ones on my caseload, become better communicators, in order to be more successful in life.
When I’m not working, you can usually find me on the tennis court or up at the Pavilion watching my 2 boys or husband play ice hockey. I love all things beach, being active, and hanging out with family and friends.
