Hello! I am so excited and privileged to be joining this amazing school! I grew up in upstate SC in a very artistic family. For as long as I can remember, I have loved creating things. My passion led me to study art at Clemson University, graduating this May with a degree in Visual Art and an emphasis in drawing. In this time, I participated in art exhibitions, interned with art galleries, planned and taught my own kids summer art camps, and interned with the Greenville Center for Creative Arts. I completed my studies with a yearlong research and art studio practice focusing on the topic of trees. I specifically fell in love with teaching art to kids, convincing me to pursue art education.
I have already been privileged to work with Lead Academy students, having interned with the previous art teacher in the spring. I am beyond excited to get to share my love for art to my students every day through teaching. A few of my favorite things are making art, thrifting, cooking, my family and friends, Lake Jocassee, and dogs.
