5th Grade Teacher

I was born in Indiana, lived in Florida and Louisiana, and have spent the majority of my life in Greenville County. I am an alumnus of Riverside High School. My undergraduate degree was received from Liberty University located in Lynchburg Virginia, which is enchanted with gorgeous sunsets surrounded by mountains. There I received my license in teaching early childhood and elementary education.

I have taught for six years, both in public school and in private school. As a teacher, I have a diverse background in the general education classroom after having taught Kindergarten, first grade, third grade, and fifth grade. After my fourth year of teaching, I decided to further my education by beginning my masters in special education. I received my degree in special education in 2016 from Converse College, and the following 2016-2017 school year, I used my new degree by becoming a Learning Difference (special education) Teacher.

While teaching at a private school for four of the six years was a wonderful experience, I am very eager to start a new adventure at Lead Academy! I have been married since July 2016 and my husband and I have two animal babies. One is a long haired mutt named Bear, and the other is a tortoise named Tuga.

I look forward to this school year!
