7th & 8th Grade Science Teacher

I am an Upstate native that grew up in Williamston, SC. I moved to Greenville after graduating from Lander University in 1998 with a degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Science. I taught 5th, 7th, and 8th grade before staying home to raise my 2 daughters. While home with my children, I was an active volunteer in their schools. In 2014, I decided to return to the classroom as a substitute teacher. After doing this, I realized I wanted to be back in the classroom full time. I added Middle Level Science Certification to my degree and began working at Lead Academy for the 2016-2017 school year.

This will be my 3rd year at Lead Academy and I can not wait to introduce your child to the world of Science! My classroom is very hands on, exploratory, and lab heavy. Children learn best by doing and making mistakes along the way.

My husband, Travis, works for Countybank. We have 2 daughters Belle (age 16), Amelia (age 14) and 3 dogs (Jupiter, Wilsie, and Sam). Both girls are very active in sports and their school. I enjoy reading, traveling, cooking, camping, boating, stargazing, and spending time with my family and friends.
