Elizabeth "Bess" Pinson
6th Grade ELA & Social Studies Teacher
I graduated from Anderson University in 2014 with a degree in special education and a minor in elementary education. I was raised in Greenville, SC and now live in Travelers Rest with my husband, Andrew. I love everything about the Upstate from downtown, to easy access to hiking, the beach, and the lake! I also enjoy coaching high school track and field, but am currently taking a break from this as I work to earn my Master's in Literacy from Furman University. I taught 3rd and 4th grade students with learning disabilities in York, SC for two years prior to my time at Lead. I have spent the last two years teaching 6th grade at Lead, and have loved every minute of it! My favorite things about Lead are crew, expeditions, and getting to grow relationships with students and see them step into their strengths as they become leaders.
